Another Lola special edition!
Meryl and Maya went on their first double-decker stroll around the neighborhood today, and met up with their friend, Emily. Look out world, these girls are going to be running things.
In other news, sleep training is going well! And, she's drinking more milk these days. This whole growing up thing is happening.
The idea of swallowing food still hasn't quite registered yet, but she willingly tries it all!
Kristi and Erin came over last night for dinner and the Oscars. Frank made a roast chicken and we fed Meryl avocado for the first time!
We went OUT to dinner on SATURDAY NIGHT to a NEW restaurant on Capitol Hill...at 5pm, and had the joint to ourselves.
We made it to six months! Meryl is now 26.5 inches tall and weighs 15 lbs. 7.3 oz. All good, and she's healthy! So healthy that she should be sleeping for longer stints at night...hello sleep training this weekend. Here we go, think caffeinated thoughts for us:)
Always, always, every night, we put her to bed and cross our fingers hoping she'll sleep for longer stints at night. Let's just say it'll be easy to improve after last night:)
She turned six months old yesterday and is all of a sudden able to rock herself in the bouncer and pull herself up to lick the daisy!
This one is six months old today. She likes to sleep on her stomach while sucking her thumb. She sleeps easy but doesn't sleep through the night. She has a best friend named Lummi but doesn't know it yet. She likes to smile and her giggles sometimes sound like grunts. Her mom loves to pick her outfit of the day. Her sneaker game is fire. She is free-spirited and stubborn. She will always be supported. The future is female.
Meryl's first foray into solid food was a success! Sweet potatoes were on the menu and the customer approved. Avocados are on the upcoming menu.
Grandpa had an unexpected trip to the hospital down in California, so we decided to head down on Friday for the weekend. Frank drove up from San Francisco, instead of flying back to Seattle. And Meryl continued her gig as dinner table entertainment!
Megan and Matt decided to come up for the weekend! (And I'm strong-arming them into playing Scrabble with me.)
Lola swooped in tonight to take care of us both. Frank is in San Francisco this week for a conference, and sure enough I get sick! Arroz caldo (Filipino congee) for dinner and a play date. Frank did send me a lovely bouquet of flowers too:)
