Wakanda Forever

We went to Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP) today to see the ‘Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes’ exhibit! And, Oscar winner Ruth E. Carter’s fierce costumes.

Thaiku

Thai food! Scene of our first date, except now with kids and the restaurant has since moved its location:)

Exceptionally normal

Routine pediatrician check-up this week for Meryl and she’s still hitting all the marks for being exceptionally normal! Now to work on telling stories, because that’s what our doctor expects a three year old to be able to do. Ready, set, imagine!

Egg in a hole

Xanna brought up eggs from a friend in Napa Valley and it felt like the right time to introduce Meryl to egg in a hole for breakfast.

Cold, what?

Winter, preschool, museums, germy friends and phlegm...we’ve decided there’s no avoiding colds these days as they seem to be part of our day to day. The snuggle is real, and it’s pretty nice.

Sushiiiii

Shockingly, as we simply look so young(!), Frank and I will have been dating for SEVENTEEN years tomorrow! Our relationship can already drive, and will soon be able to vote next year:) We’re headed out to an omakase sushi dinner tonight to celebrate, with our sick kiddos pumped full of Tylenol and in the loving care of Lola and Tito. Thank you, family!

Where’s Meryl?

Xanna and Meryl have a game where Meryl hides under a blanket and Xanna proceeds to ponder out loud where Meryl might be.  Feeding the chickens across the street? Helping Dad cook in the kitchen? Usually, Meryl answers “no!” to every idea as to continue game as long as possible:)

Fun at Funko

Yesterday, we drove up to Everett to meet Lola and Tito at the Funko store! Funko makes pop culture collectibles, and their store is a big museum of fun! And then Meryl got overwhelmed and needed a super hero recharge at the Mexican restaurant around the corner; we all did:)
