Meryl's first foray into solid food was a success! Sweet potatoes were on the menu and the customer approved. Avocados are on the upcoming menu.
Grandpa had an unexpected trip to the hospital down in California, so we decided to head down on Friday for the weekend. Frank drove up from San Francisco, instead of flying back to Seattle. And Meryl continued her gig as dinner table entertainment!
Megan and Matt decided to come up for the weekend! (And I'm strong-arming them into playing Scrabble with me.)
Lola swooped in tonight to take care of us both. Frank is in San Francisco this week for a conference, and sure enough I get sick! Arroz caldo (Filipino congee) for dinner and a play date. Frank did send me a lovely bouquet of flowers too:)
Xanna and Grandpa breezed through this weekend on their way to California. Meryl took her first sip of water too! (Watch out us, food is coming soon!)
Allison, Noelle, Laurel, and Fred stopped by today, just because! Thankfully, Allison brought her Surface to watch the Duke game, as it wasn't on TV...yes, that's Grandpa, watching those last tense minutes behind:) Xanna is waving from afar while getting her hair did. And, well, we're still working on our selfie-stick skills.
...And from the looks of it, Meryl might have already squirreled away a few toys in her cheeks.
Girlfriends think alike:)
It hasn't even been six months, and I haven't even been back at work for a full week, and I'm already feeling like everything is moving too fast. When Meryl is older and staying up later throwing tantrums, I'll probably feel differently, but for now, there doesn't seem to be enough time in the day!
