We celebrated Maya's first birthday today. And Meryl partied it up in my overalls!   

Why yes, you're seeing things correctly; that is a huge 'Meryl blanket!' 

Meryl has been expressing her celebrity status as of late. Elke stopped by for a visit and 'thought' she'd play with Meryl by pressing a few music playing buttons with her. Meryl had the impression that only 'she' was going to be pressing the buttons and pulled Elke's hand away!

Cousins upon cousins strikes again!

 ...Or parents who know how to do hair. It would be a lot easier if she didn't want to eat her barrettes.

We've been having dinner with Xanna on the regular via FaceTime, but we just touched down in Anchorage today - so that means Xanna gets the real deal!

No matter how much broccoli we put in front of Meryl, she (and everyone else!) preferred all that delicious Brazilian carved meat!
