Butterflies at the zoo

Today was Husky Alumni Day at the zoo! We met up with some friends, got to pet a hedgehog, watched penguins swimming, and walked through the butterfly pavilion. And left with a butterfly hand stamp to boot!

6:30am wake-up call

 20,000 people ran by our house this morning for the Rock-n-Roll marathon and half marathon! We were at the first mile marker of the new course, which meant that we also discovered that Elvis is still alive! Five of them in fact, at the end of the block singing and cheering the runners on.

Not on the walls, yet

We got a new kids table for the kitchen that will double as an art table and dinner table. Meryl and I made a special trip to the store for crayons today...hopefully for only drawing ‘on’ the table!

Strolling

We brought out Meryl’s Carhart overalls today, she finally fits in them! Breaking them in on a Saturday stroll. She’ll be ready for Homer over the 4th of July in no time.

We love ice cream

Family night! Six kids running (and crawling) amok, we lost a Nerf rocket to the neighbor’s tree, and everyone left full of ice cream. Success! Frank decided to ‘make’ us all dinner instead of ordering pizza, and then got caught on rocket-finding duty with the kids...will he opt for the easy dinner button next time? We’ll see!

Tubig = water in Tagalog

We headed to the Pagdiriwang Philippine Festival at Seattle Center this afternoon, and decided to hit the playground and water park on the way out! Frank ended up getting soaked, but it sure was fun playing in the water in the sun!
