Meryl wanted ‘nothing’ to do with Santa, Mrs. Claus, or candy canes...and somehow I ended up sitting on a rocking horse with her on my lap, sort of.
After a busy day meeting Santa, fighting colds, and eating cupcakes, nice to unwind with some storybook time.
Turns out, Meryl’s nauseous stomach bug this week was contagious. Thankfully, Frank and Xanna are holding down the fort while Meryl and I recover - and we hope it stops there! (Thanks also to Lola for hanging out earlier when Meryl stayed home from school. It takes a village!)
We have the best neighbors! Jenna continued her plant theme with a terrarium gift for Meryl (Holmes got a fun onesie). So we had to put it together tonight. Thankfully, we’ve kept (and used!) the aloe plant she gave us when Meryl was born!
Holmes snoozes and Lummi nuzzles. Life is good.
Meryl got to feed the neighborhood chickens their favorite food, worms!
Fresh air and sanity to pair!
It’s December first! Daily fun for both Frank and Meryl!
What? This is a once in a lifetime moment, had to capture it.
Holmes filling in his hipster quota by hanging at La Marzocco and the KEXP Gathering Space.
Meryl shared baby Holmes with her friends at preschool today. Lots of interest from all, and all were gentle and kind! Her class teachers also initiated ‘siblings corner’ this week with three other friends, who have baby siblings the same age...to talk about life:)
One stayed above deck, and the other went below, but both benefitted! Next week, pool noodles!
Grandpa had his finger nails trimmed today, and also strolled out with them painted purple for Meryl! Fist bump to that!
A full week of family fun!
