Holmes’ abs flexed into gear this week, thanks to Baylie’s exercise regime:) He magically swims on the floor across the room these days, and shows off his planks and crawling pose like a track athlete about to burst forward...ready to launch soon!

Thank you, photo metadata, for time-stamping these monumental moments. Right angles for the win!
Today’s soccer practice included kicking balls of cookie dough around the field oven to cook. When asked what the team should add to their cookie dough, Meryl was first to shout out, “chocolate!” She loooves chocolate, we actually talk about it often. I’m with her!
Well, this happened. Out of our eyesight. Meryl was so proud to have figured out how to climb in her brother’s crib. So naturally, we asked her to show us how she did it and had to sing along as she jumped and sang, “No more monkeys jumping on the bed!”
Holmes thought it was pretty funny too:)
Hello, forty candles! Here I am! Primed for a party at 9am, when Allison was all too eager to stop by with cake (really, for the purpose of demolishing it with 40 planted candles). Yes, please! Frank and I celebrated at Cafe Juanita to kick-off the weekend, Meryl and I got our nails did today, and then I set off on a venture far away during an epic two hour nap during family nap time...the latter being the true mark of wisdom and great decision making:) I’m ready for the next decade!
Lola and Tito grabbed a few toys that I had at home. Marvin the Martian and Elmo. Meryl has had an affinity for Elmo from books and toys and now she has her own. And Bunny came along for the ride.
The artichokes in our garden are ready, so we trimmed and steamed them for tonight’s dinner. It was Meryl and Holmes’ first time to have artichokes, but for Meryl, I think they were more of just a vehicle for mayo.
In the morning, when I head out to work on my bike, Meryl sends me off with smiles and blows me kisses:)
And in the evening, this one ‘eats up’ everything we read:)
Holmes also fell asleep like this:)
KEXP party with dancing and pizza dough throwing for the win three years in a row! These kids sure are lucky to have Frank as their father, smother hugs and all - he’s a catch:)
Meryl and Margot were at it again yesterday. We ended up over at Margot’s for dinner, combining our dinner plans...and introducing Margot and her family to Seattle hot dogs (with cream cheese and grilled onions)!
