Bust a move

Second week, and spending an hour investigating all corners of a dance studio, sometimes dancing, is still the most draining activity of her three year old life.

Eye spy

A three year old! Continuing the trend, Meryl checked-in to see the doctor and checked-out exceptionally normal. Only this time, the doctor checked her eyes…with an iPhone! Turns out there’s an app that takes a picture of kids’ eyes using the camera’s flash to bounce light off the back of the retina, then it detects the pupil location, runs an algorithm, and tests for common eye diseases. Crazy!

Halibut Cove

No joke, Halibut Cove is five blocks from our house! We went on a family walk today, and while Frank and Meryl were at the playground, Holmes, Lummi, and I went for a stroll and stumbled upon a picture of Halibut Cove at the bus stop! I literally did a double take. We’ll be back for the view!

Afternoon fun

Meryl has short days this week at school, so Frank took her to the zoo this afternoon! And if Meryl goes to the zoo, she simply has to ride the horses on the merry-go-round:)

Fueling the obsession

When your family sends you Honey Bucket selfies for your daughter’s enjoyment. We’ll take ‘em! Its good clean fun, after all; highly sanitized with a scent of silliness:)

Fresh kicks

This is all Frank:) From soccer cleats to breakdancing sneakers! Because, shoes. Plus, we’re all about rainbows these days.

Breakdancing

First breakdancing class in the books! With soccer now over, we’ve transitioned to what surprisingly turned out to be an even more tiring activity…running around a dance studio (sometimes dancing) for a full hour. Got some dim sum afterwards for lunch and hit the family nap scene hard. And since class is in the International District, we’re looking forward to eating our way through all our favorite spots for several Saturdays ahead!
