We’ll see what else survives the compost bin for more experiments to come! (Or if we’re capable of growing anything too.)

Thank you, social media, for the idea to paint toys with washable paint and wash them off in the bathtub! Doo Doo here lucked out…can’t say the ‘washable paint’ was completely washable, so we’ll chalk it up to added character:) She’s also sleeping with the paintbrush tonight.
First Zoom with friends! It lasted fifteen minutes, which is when the kids bailed and the parents longingly said, “goodbye.”
Cuddy family gives Zoom a go! Success!
Meryl and I scrambled to the beach in anticipation of the rain descending. It was colder than we anticipated, but I’ll admit that sitting on the log chatting was pretty nice!
We dined al fresco with our neighbors, safely distanced from each other in lawn chairs on the sidewalk. Gosh was it nice to catch up!
Cabin fever got us out of the house and into the sun for breakfast along the canal in front of Meryl’s closed preschool. And Meryl took us on a walk to see all her favorite sights - the dinosaur tree, beaver house, old dock, mallard ducks, poison berries, the parking lot that gets puddles when it rains, and kayaks! (I appreciated seeing the rower.)
Allison has put a shining spotlight on Baby Beluga, and it’s the first book Holmes picks up in the morning. Luckily, he still listens to me sing!
We coordinated a neighborhood donation of pantry staples this week for the Queen Anne Helpline. Meryl and I did porch pickups and talked about helping everyone to have food to fill their bellies.
Frank organized a company wide virtual Friday afternoon happy hour…and the kids went bonkers and crashed the office party!
Allison came over! When I told Meryl that Allison was on her way over, she ran upstairs to get our Baby Beluga book…because in our house, we regard Allison as the best singer of the song:) And she delivered!
Meryl’s teachers have posted videos of their life at home and also of them reading books…and one teacher’s Dad got into the fun and acted out the book during story time!
Not one, but TWO kids love jalapeño chips!
