Let’s be honest, we’re not going anywhere anytime soon. There are plenty of people itching to ‘do something,’ including us, but our tolerance level these days is pretty limited. So, here’s to mini-vacation moments in the city!
Meryl has so much fun throwing dirt and rocks into the canal yesterday after school that I suggested she keep the rocks in her hand to throw into Elliott Bay in the morning (AKA motivation to get going home). Fifteen minutes this morning and a total breath of fresh air to start the day!
We decided on the way home from school that balloons were needed for the weekend:)
Seriously, Holmes has always been and continues to be an animal lover:)
Squeee!
It’s not quite blueberry season, but we’ve got to beat the birds to the berries that are ripe!
It’s a parking lot for boats! This morning’s adventure drive took us to Elliott Bay Marina, where we learned how to spot a sailboat (tall pole!), see the Space Needle from a different view, and identify rock reefs vs. buoys.
Every night I take a single picture of each kid sleeping. Holmes is a tough one to capture as he is a light sleeper and I had to build up my confidence to go into his room as he’d always move when I went in, making me think I’d woken him up. Still, most of the time he sleeps on his side and I don’t often get to see his face. So this is a token moment:)
A bit ago, we uncovered these pajamas, which surprisingly fit Meryl despite the fact they were a size 2T. Hearing “2T,” Meryl thought these particular pajamas were called “tootie” pajamas. It took us a moment to put it together, but ever since, they bring joy when they’re clean and a top of the heap nighttime option.
