“I’m nocturnal”

Life in the bassinet continues! Meryl was training Bunny to sleep in a bed, the important work of someone who is nocturnal. Fast forward to this morning when we were pontificating where the neighborhood pink milkshake truck might be resting…and Meryl pontificated that it could be ‘nocturnal’ like a bat and owl. Mind blown. She also stated that she too is nocturnal, given all the things she does in her room at night. Flexing vocabulary like a boss.

I scream, you scream…

We all scream for ice cream! My spontaneous thought to go out for ice cream on a hot day didn’t factor in not being able to sit inside the shop or walk somewhere before it melted. So, we dripped all over the place in the trunk! Ice cream tastes good anywhere, really.

Reading to Holmes

Well, reading the same books over and over (their choice) does have its benefits…Meryl remembered every word to one of Holmes’ favorite books and read it to him this morning!

We love Hilltop

Last Friday, Holmes’ teachers made him a video to welcome him to class, tour the room, and meet his new friends. We’ve been watching it all weekend in prep, this morning included.

The five minute athlete

After dropping the kids off, we got coffee (like the Seattle-ites we are) and took our oldest child to Discovery Park to celebrate. It doesn’t take long to wear her out and put a smile on her face!
