This little strategizer has started playing No Stress Chess at school…and since I don’t know how to play Chess, I’m going to learn with her!

Alllllllllll vehicles, all the time with this kid:)
We love yelling, “Hot Pot! Hot Pot!” Holmes especially.
The Hokey Pokey is alive and well.
From Meryl: “I’m going to be a teacher and a purple lotion sanitizer maker. And you’ll be able to eat the sanitizer.”
Holmes is banking in the vocabulary, stringing words together…and, has been impressing us with his comedic timing and delivery. Our household upholds the term “no means no” for safety and respect. And this week, Holmes learned to string all three words together and upon me asking him if I could finish a magazine article before reading him a book, he turned around on my lap, looked me straight in the eyes, and said with a calm and confident voice, “no means no.” We’re still laughing:)
And a need for speed! From Meryl: “I am going super fast!”
Holmes loves looking under utility plates…and seeing what fits through the finger hole:)
This kid loves to dance.
Holmes notoriously sleeps underneath his stuffed animals, making it hard to actually see him on the monitor…and stress out about whether he’s breathing. Fast forward a few years and I’m anticipating a Ferris Bueller style sneak-out fake-out with these same stuffed animals, good luck us:)
Sushi night! And an evening committee meeting. Thanks to a kids book on sushi, Meryl pretty much only wants to eat “dabby dots of jelly” (Ikura) on sushi nights, so we order her a full side just for her:)
Classroom experiments with colored water!
