Neighborhood chickens are the best! These ladies live across the street. And had we not left to eat our own dinner, this troop might have added to their coop:)
Voila! Melody Strawberries and crepes a la Dad. Whipped cream in a can, well, it’s becoming more and more a pantry staple. (Thanks, Lisa! We’ve re-ordered the GF mix as it’s great!)
Socializing amidst a lot of space! About a dozen of Meryl and Holmes’ classmates met up with us this morning to stomp rockets, fly planes, and run up, down and all around. Lucky for us, they brought their parents! Three hours later and we were all pooped, goal achieved!
Happy 4th of July! What rules the world? CARBS.
Behind on blogging, but alive! Kids! We’re never behind on eating, though:)
Meryl and Xanna were having such a good time downstairs, I had to take a sneak peak!
Our neighborhood is all in on our neighbor Melody’s family strawberry farm. Thanks to Margy’s battery charging drive to the farm, we’re lucky to get to enjoy them too! And they’re ripe and red all the way through, yum. Destination delicious.
The kids had a couple of in-service days leading into the weekend, so we decided to re-explore the neighborhood by bike! Book store, farmers market, playground, dinner on a sidewalk, and ice cream on the curb! We bumped into so many friends…we’re all re-emerging and it feels so good.
Parson’s Gardens continues to have the best climbing trees.
Beach days are upon us! Lorraine took a summer Friday and joined us for the morning in search of critters and sea glass. Beating the heat at the beach:)
It’s the season for garage sales and our morning pajama block walk yielded some choice picks paid in change. What’s physical money anymore? I’ll tell you it was no match for a 1,000 piece puzzle we apparently couldn’t live without and suddenly lost its price at the site of two cute kids:) We’ll be working on it all summer.
