Progression

Not to be outdone, Holmes carried three squishy balls during soccer practice last week and FOUR this week. We’ll see what next week holds, literally:)

Fremont Fringe

We joined friends at Fremont Fringe last night, which is a first Friday(ish) performance arts walk of sorts throughout the Fremont neighborhood. It was so much fun!

(We also got family COVID tests yesterday - all negative - because Meryl and I had runny noses this week and in a pandemic, you gotta do what you gotta do to rule out variables. Cold? Allergies? Who knows! But…testing lines have grown significantly as the Delta variant is rearing its ugly head. Ugh.)

Dapper tappers

A month into tap dancing and these girls set their sights on the stage! (Meryl’s tap teacher is in the striped pants.) Let’s just say ‘improv’ was not on the agenda, but with two adorable girls eager for the limelight, the playlist magically adapted:) Afterwards, Meryl said she was “scared to dance in front of people,” can’t you tell? Everyone was still on a high at tap class this morning:)

Hide-and-seek by color

Meryl and Tito created a hide-and-seek game, where they hide somewhere aligned to the color on their paper plate spinner. It was a whole project to create the spinner, and Meryl enjoyed the prospect of also finding color appropriate clothing to wear each time she hid. Hey, dress the part!

Sugar high

Block party! Our annual block party resumed this year, very dialed down, and practically perfect in every way. We love our block!

How it started

We’ve been exploring playgrounds after school and today’s adventure took us to the Discovery Park playground. They’re all so cool.
