Evening snack:)
No more Christmas music on the radio…but as of today, the Friday song is back! A local radio station plays “Show Me” by Mint Royale at a random moment during the Friday morning show, and it played on our way to school! Chair dancing happiness!
We gained a swimming pool in our back yard this afternoon! Not good. It rained so much, so quickly, that the water ran into our basement egress window and…well, we thanked our basement rug for soaking up the water and took it to the transfer station. But, not before Frank and I literally moved water outside - sweeping it away from the house, scooping it into buckets, and pouring it down the street drains. So many gallons of water. And, workout for the day complete!
We needed a snack. Cookies and jalapeño chips to be exact. They fed our souls. The kids thrived through a week of school, and Frank and I survived the afternoon:)
We watched Encanto for the first time tonight. It’s already my favorite and I want to watch it again, and again. If you haven’t already seen it, watch it.
Another chicken, another wishbone. Meryl is now on a roll, and Holmes celebrated with hops and a high five for second place:)
Reel 2 Real’s “I Like To Move It” popped into our heads…time for a dance party!
DJ Dad closed out the set with DJ Khaled’s “All I Do Is Win.” Finishing with a win!
When is the floor not lava?
We met up with a friend today to get all the wiggles out..back to school tomorrow for Meryl! Holmes strolled in to school today ready to play.
A hug to the tree, a hug to the lights…and a nosh on the gingerbread houses:) We had to try them! (Holmes has been not so secretly snacking on them for a while.)
Chatting with Xanna:)
Raffi’s ‘Bananna Phone’ song came on and Holmes ran over to pick up the line:)
Meryl decided to make a bunch of origami butterflies and hang them around the house…necessitating sewing thread, painters tape, and the use of scissors to cut the tape; all the supplies! And a tall Tito to reach the ceiling:)
Tito’s dramatized falling always gets Holmes into a belly laughing fit:) Guttural giggles, the best.
Testing success! We got an FDA authorized over-the-counter PCR testing machine (so cool!) and used it today in advance of school starting this week - both schools require students and faculty to show proof of a negative result in order to return. When it’s positive to be negative!
Always a favorite!
