Truffle hunting

Because, of course we do, we have a neighbor who got a truffle hunting puppy dog. And because our neighbor’s yard now apparently smells like truffles everywhere from practicing, we let them practice in our next door rental’s backyard before she heads off to formal training next week. Aromatic pasta dreams await!

Car wash

Holmes stayed home Monday to recover from his cough and so we went on an errand and got some gas, which ended up spewing everywhere because the sensor didn’t “sense,” and so we simply had to get a car wash. Fine by Holmes! (I’m still traumatized by the gas incident.)

H20 yo

Meryl has taken it upon herself to ‘save’ this wilting plant at school. She plans for when she will water it and has initiated a self-drawn poster campaign to educate others on plant watering guidance. We’re all bound to learn something with this adventure.

We might be done

Ski season, you were a good one. Meryl now skis on her own and Holmes is now primed for lessons. Maybe, just maybe, I’m primed for upright untethered skiing next year. And Frank, our favorite mountain paparazzi photographer, is already setting his sights on other chairlifts and runs:)

The space between

Check us out! Girls ski day! Meryl and I headed up to the mountain last weekend to celebrate finishing ski lessons and being able to ski all by herself! And then we decided that her boots were too small and there’s nothing that competes with cold feet, so we headed home drinking hot chocolate. I’m shocked we got a second season out of her boots and I’m thankful for the used equipment store by our house with a bigger pair to finish out the season…to which Holmes could very well use next year:)
