“What More Can I Do”

Performances live on! Encanto is very much a favorite and comfort-watch in the house these days. For Meryl, performing to the ‘Isabela song’ (AKA her favorite song) is her jam:) We’re all in.

Water power

This morning might have been Holmes’ highlight of the year. The water utility tech arrived to check our water meter as we were walking out the door to school and Holmes just might have exploded all of his love-of-infrastructure excitement on the sidewalk. For a kid who asks us to check under ‘every’ utility cover he sees, seeing a professional read blew his mind. And to top it off, he also got to see the tech use his super power (his words)…water! He had a trusty squirt bottle to clean dirt off meters for clear readability:)

Back to ballet

Annnd this girl grew out of her ballet shoes! Lucky for us, our dance studio has a dance store on the other side of the curtain:) Tippy toes for this Sugar Plum Fairy!

Truffle hunting

Because, of course we do, we have a neighbor who got a truffle hunting puppy dog. And because our neighbor’s yard now apparently smells like truffles everywhere from practicing, we let them practice in our next door rental’s backyard before she heads off to formal training next week. Aromatic pasta dreams await!

Car wash

Holmes stayed home Monday to recover from his cough and so we went on an errand and got some gas, which ended up spewing everywhere because the sensor didn’t “sense,” and so we simply had to get a car wash. Fine by Holmes! (I’m still traumatized by the gas incident.)
