Yesterday was National Boba Day and the U-District held its first Boba Fest! A celebration of Boba where almost 20 boba shops celebrated these IG-worthy drinks with their globules of delight. We took the kids and they did great with the crowd and lines and the subsequent sugar rush was a fun ride for everyone.
Steak, broccolini, and Cabernet Sauvignon for dinner, with Xanna too! Frank and I each wore khaki chinos (pants for him, shorts for me) and half-zips (golf shirt for him, Homer Brew fleece for me). Meryl wore corduroys and Holmes wore chinos, both with bright socks. It really is hard to believe we’re not all together. Listening to Sinatra tonight helped. Super cute kids crawling as fast as they can on their hands and feet like a cheetah helped too:)
All recycling green for Holmes, all flowers for Meryl:)
A first! And then we realized we never told Meryl how to play the game:) She hit the ball! Now what? Load those bases.
Drawing tulips, roses, and unicorns with the help of YouTube tutorials for her fairy garden (in 3D!). “Mom, did you know that what we are doing right now is called ‘crafting?’ We’re crafting.”
Meryl and I pulled up the gymnastics camera to see Holmes during his class and Meryl practiced her typing by writing him and his teammates words of encouragement:)
Gymnastics! And there was a competition today, so we got to see some kids practicing for the Olympics.
Meryl is into building obstacle courses these days, they’re even better to run through while Tito does live commentating like at baseball games! Lummi, on the other hand, likes chewing obstacle course parts (sticks)…adding (or reducing?) challenges:)
And, Lola’s sweater. We are well protected:)
