We did it

We all survived a full week of Frank living in the basement recovering from COVID. On day eight he finally tested negative and surfaced from the deep. He had relatively mild symptoms in comparison (head cold, no loss of taste or smell), but COVID is still COVID and, thankfully, vaccines did their thing.

Like Anna and Elsa

Meryl quickly surmised that Frank being in the basement to protect us from the virus was just like Elsa staying in her bedroom to protect others from her powers…and that, just like Anna, we could push notes under the door to stay connected!

And hyper local FaceTime

My phone battery drained a lot faster this week with all our FaceTiming! And, if you’re in dire need of talking about the World Track & Field Championships, Frank’s got conversation:)

Pre-fever

Frank tested positive for COVID last night and has now become our basement dweller. We didn’t know the extent of it then, but it seems he might be the only one at this point. (We’re still holding our breaths.)

Vaccine woes

Yesterday’s second vaccine for Holmes took hold today. Ice cream for a snack helped, snacks for lunch were good to munch, but a solid nap was just the ticket (even though I checked constantly to make sure he was still breathing).

Cuddle up crew

We love Tylenol! Life is looking like it just might resume a little bit. Second day of negative tests for us three. Frank’s fever broke too; he’s still basement bound and can tell you anything about any sports at this point:)

“My garden”

Now that the blueberries are ripening, Holmes is finding a daily need to see what’s edible. He literally says, “I need to go check my garden.” He does love fruit.
