Yesterday was our first ‘Kids Choice Day.’ You guessed it, the kids heard “yes” to most everything:) Treats for breakfast, a trip to the zoo to ride the carousel, one meltdown, mac-n-cheese and hot dogs for lunch, all four of us napped, more treats for a snack, wheels mania at the playground, pizza for dinner, and a movie to finish the day.
Or as Meryl calls it, “horseback riding practice.”
Bikes, scooters, and going fast…plus a balance bike lesson from Meryl to Holmes, who desperately wants to ride a bike:) It wasn’t that long ago when she was in the same position!
We biked to Bainbridge Island for lunch with friends today for a last day of summer moment before Meryl and her friend start FIRST GRADE!
Got any recipe ideas for shredded carrots? Because we have a lot of them. Holmes started shredding and then had to keep going to hone his skill. We weren’t going to stop his hustle.
So many questions! It’s great!
“My garden is growing so much food for my family!” - Holmes (Actual gardening effort = 0. Actual eating effort = 10 for strawberries, blueberries, and lemon cucumbers only.)
