Both kids are at the same school! One drop-off!
Here I am, staring into Holmes’ Pre-K classroom all nostalgic for any sort of recognition…nope. The kid walked into school the first day spouting out, “I go here!” And today he walked into his classroom and said, “I’m here!” He’s going to be fine:)
School is in session! We had to hit up one of our favorite restaurants near school for lasagna and noodles and all the feel good carbs:)
I’m woefully behind on blogging the last of our summer jaunts and fall romps. Here’s to a few rewinds and fast forwards to come!
Last week of preschool! Last moments with Holmes on the slide. And one of many moments wearing shin guards and soccer shoes as daily attire.
For a year-end project, they asked parents to bring in no-longer-functioning objects for the kids to take a part in the sensory table. We brought in a bubble maker, but someone else’s printer quickly took hold as the feat to beat. Holmes LOVED this.
Holmes is moving up in the school world to Pre-K this upcoming school year! We have been going to our preschool for five years…end of an era! (And now we get to head into the era of one school drop-off for us parents!)
Another parent brought a Polaroid camera for us all to commemorate the moment…to which I then had to digitize:)
We headed to Dick’s for cheeseburgers and milkshakes! A Seattle tradition! Dick’s offers free burgers to kids in cap and gowns for graduation…but only in June for graduation season as we found out. Didn’t stop us from starting the tradition early:)
Gaaahhh, their first days of preschool! And seeing Lummi too! 2018-2023, feelings! And, yes, we dressed them each in the same outfit for their first days…because we had the clothes, and the last of our influence over their personal brands:)
A view into our regularly scheduled programming of doing anything that’s not actually what we’re supposed to be doing.
With parent practice in the morning at drop-off:)
Back to the slopes! We’re making an effort to ‘practice’ skiing before the snow comes this year. I still think this place is so cool.
