And it’s spring and the sun is shining!
And it’s spring and the sun is shining!
We ducked in from the sun to see Luchadora at the Seattle Children’s Theater, and it was so good! The play was about the Mexican wrestling culture, Lucha Libre, and a Chinese folklore, following a daughter taking on her father’s place in a championship match.
We still have a puppy!
In-service day, Holmes day!
Yep.
So much fun, Holmes wanted his turn.
We saw a dinosaur movie and played with everything that moved.
Meryl has fallen for fencing, and Holmes picked up skateboarding lessons during the same time…and he LOVES it.
Xanna stopped by for the weekend! And she and Holmes had fun putting together Lego creations with this new app (to us) that has you take a picture of your Lego pile and then offers up creations to build with the Legos that you have. It is so cool! It’s like a puzzle to find the pieces in the step-by-step guide, and so rewarding!
The WAC women’s basketball team put on a clinic for girls and it was…awesome. All of the women played in college and one played in the WNBA (I could not stop watching her, she was so swift.) And Xanna got to see Meryl play!
We carried the basketball theme forward and watched the Duke game with Allison, Sam, Noelle, Caleb, and Eva!
Xanna helped Meryl practice her lines in her class play and we all cheered for her theater flourishes…because people in the back seats want to see her too!
Lately, Holmes has been enjoying drawing creatures and scissor-cutting them out while I read at night. And it’s delightful.
The Friday song! Yesterday.
We returned from Disneyland and the furniture returned to service. They’re jumping into the pool here:)
Welp, due to a known COVID exposure after our return, we tested on Monday before school and Meryl’s results were positive. No symptoms. (The rest of us were negative.) We kept both kids home that day to figure out a plan. Again, I attempted a project with the kids and through deep breaths we achieved homemade Oreos that were actually very good!
Positivity was a blip as she tested negative the next day…and, lost a tooth! (Though she still had to stay home from school for the entire week, following CDC guidelines.)
