Steak and mushrooms, and chocolate cake! (And, a rollicking game of ‘Tito, chase me!’ afterwards to run through all that sugar.)

After traveling to San Francisco this week for work, I was more than happy to snuggle in the bakery this morning:)
Yesterday, I joined Meryl’s class for a field trip to Seattle Center. We took the bus, played around Seattle Center, and rode the Monorail. Meryl played with the Sonic Bloom flowers, climbed about 4’ of the Space Needle, and had so much fun. I even pointed out the building where her Mama and Dada got married.
The birthday circuit continued last weekend. This time, at a park with trains passing by. Can we all just agree that, at any age, hanging out with our friends doesn’t take much to mean a lot?
And then we met a Storm Trooper:)
A lot of the news sucks right now. Meryl picked this book out (on her own accord) last weekend at the book store, I had to buy it. Ever since, she’s been studying the pages on prominent women and pressing their corresponding buttons to hear each woman’s speech. We’re learning a lot too!
Let’s face it, soccer at this age is a practice of, “can you follow directions and stay on task?” This week, Meryl decided that everything was more fun with a hula hoop…between running off into the distance, stacking cones instead of lining them up, and stopping everything in pursuit of getting an octopus stamp on her hands.
Dumplings and doughnuts!
