Maya recently moved into a new house (luckily, still on Queen Anne!), which means boxes for playing! And we now know what Meryl will be asking Santa for this year.
Meryl is so proud of herself for now being able to climb into her chair...again, and again, and again:)
The best chair in the house!
This is a space blanket that I got after completing the Seattle Half-Marathon many years ago. It is now Meryl’s toy.
Meryl went to the dentist! And the verdict is that she needs to brush her teeth and gums more often...AKA, "parents, get with it!"
Meryl has mastered going down the stairs feet first, on her initiative! But she has also started to realize what she can reach along the way. It's only a matter of time till she starts hanging on the doorknob like a monkey.
Lately, I've been pulling Meryl up to my lap as I finish off work. Little did we know that she likes hammering away at the keyboard. So much so, she'll pull my hands away so she can get back to work and writing her magnum opus
Believe it or not, there is apparently a potty training methodology that you can start on day-1 with your baby called, Elimination Communication. (Thank you, Elke, and good luck, Molly!) There is also general intrigue with flushing a toilet and hearing the water go 'whooosh!' For Meryl, it's the latter. Starting today, she can now flush the toilet. And there goes our water bill.
Meryl got to hang out with Molly's son, Will, today! He's just a shade older than a month and so cute! (And he has a disproportionately sized head in this picture, which does not match reality.) But hey, they're best cousin buds!
We just 'had' to go to Ray's for their curry fried rice, with extra curry sauce...the best.
Move over refrigerator, turns out Meryl gives all vertical surfaces equal opportunity for sloppy suction kisses.
