The eclipse! With clear skies in sunny Calistoga and a partial path to totality, we were fortunate. And, the colander trick totally works:)
One pair of eclipse glasses, five pairs of eyes. We saw the eclipse and can say we’ve seen it!
Fun times on bikes!
Downtown Calistoga:)
Obnoxiousness continues! We got a new car this past weekend…as a school bus hit our empty parked car four months ago and totaled it (for real, we’re all still astonished). Our back seat now has a trap door hole in it that the manufacturer planned for skis to pass though, but we have another use. We present to you, the Humbao Hole!
I’m a sucker for a mother-daughter moment. Meryl and I went to the Barbie themed Mother Daughter Brunch at the WAC today…after getting our nails pinkified and picking dresses just the perfect shade of pink:)
Here I am, hiding behind the column (not really), trying to give space to the moment (also, not really). I get so excited! And, skateboarding is getting hard. Moving from ‘experiencing’ an activity to ‘practicing’ an activity is a whole thing.
Humbao now has his own bike trailer:) Last weekend was gorgeous. And, here begins my new take on our blog - not capturing everything for the sake of capturing something. I can’t keep up! So, some of life will make it and that’ll be that.
We’ve basically become the accessories to our accessories.
Jeans on jeans, socks and sandals. Alliteration in the PNW. (And, we’re obsessed with Harry Potter.)
We’ve finally started reading Harry Potter! After the kids do their night jobs, we read a chapter in the hallway. They’re loving the books and we’re loving this activity.
Literally the day after we drank water from the sky while skiing and snowboarding, the clouds parted and we rowed a boat on Lake Union!
You get a turn! You get a turn! And you get a turn! It’s only a rowboat, with people moving around, and a puppy sniffing up and down, and an inconsistent breeze. A total breeze:)
We only drifted into one boat. Fortunately it was an old wooden boat and not a new fiberglass yacht. We’ll be back! So close to home, and so much fun!
